The term “dog bite” usually brings to mind breeds like pit bulls, rottweilers, German shepherds, and junkyard mutts. While these dog breeds can certainly prove dangerous, even small dogs can cause significant injuries. Under New Hampshire Law, dog owners and keepers are held strictly liable when their dog causes injury or damage to a person or livestock. As long as you were not trespassing or committing some other wrong when you suffered injuries, you do not need to prove negligence vis-à-vis an owner or a keeper to obtain a recovery for your injuries and losses.
